Apple Dealing With Another Lawsuit

It appears that Apple has landed themselves in the middle of another lawsuit. Wyncomm has bought a lawsuit against Apple (along with 5 other companies) for violating patent #5,506,866, the one that allows "side channel communications in simultaneous voice and data transmission." In other words, the ability to talk on the phone while using WiFi. The patent which was originally owned by AT&T has eventually made its way to Wyncomm. The patent which has been in existence since 1996, expires in November. Wyncomm has not named any amount of damages that they are seeking.

It's not uncommon to see Apple fighting yet another patent case, especially after the fact that they went after Samsung numerous times in recent times. It looks like they are getting a taste of their own medicine. How they will argue this one in court? We'll just have to wait and see how this one pans out.

You can read the entire complaint lodged by Wyncomm below.
